Hiya Michael,
Welcome back to planDisney! We are honored to be a continued part of your planning journey and for your upcoming summer Disney vacation. Some huge additions are coming to the Most Magical Place on Earth this summer, including new and returning shows and nighttime entertainment. I’m most excited about
“Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away.” My toddler loves parades, so I know this will be one of her favorite experiences!
So let’s chat about your question, Michael. Currently, international Guests must still wait until they arrive in the United States to purchase (and select)
Lightning Lane Multi-Pass, Single Lanes, and Premier Pass. The great news is that if you buy a 14-day ticket, you can purchase and choose lightning lanes for the second week of your vacation when you arrive.
Michael, for the first week of your trip (or if your vacation is for less than 14 days), there may still be some lightning lane availability, but I also wanted to share some tips I learned from our UK panelists. The summer at Walt Disney World can get crowded, so be sure to take advantage of
early entry and
Extended Evening Hours (when available) if you are staying at one of the resort hotels. This can help you get in as many attractions as possible. Also, if you have a 14-day vacation, it is the perfect time to take in the additional experiences at Walt Disney World if the lines are too long at the theme parks. Enjoy a round of
mini golf, visit a
water park, or my personal favorite, get in some shopping at Disney Springs! There is so much to do at Walt Disney World!
Please come back and see us if you need anything else.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
