I am interested in visiting WDW at Christmas with my 8 and 5 year old kids. What is the best hotel to stay at for a traditional Christmas setting? If you could please recommend one from each category, Deluxe, Moderate, and value.

    Hi, Mykel!

Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year to visit Walt Disney World (WDW) and staying at a WDW resort is one of the best aspects of a vacation during the holidays.

Each resort has different Christmas decor based on its overall theme.  For instance, the Wilderness Lodge has a rustic feel whereas the Yacht & Beach Club is decorated with a nautical, beachside flavor.  My favorite deluxe resort at Christmas is the Grand Floridian with a Victorian flair and traditional Christmas decorations. Its lobby boasts one of the largest Victorian-style gingerbread houses, and the air is filled with its delectable smell.

Since I am from the South, my  favorite moderate resort at Christmas is Port Orleans -- it seems like home to me -- and my preference for a value resort is Pop Century. I hope that helps you plan.

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation!
