hi! Interested in the VIP tour, this is the 1st visit to WDW for my kids and husband. We will be in MK on our 1st and last day. Is it best booked on our first day (get our bearings, get tips) or last day (get the chance to ride things we missed on day 1?)

Hey there, Lisa! Welcome to planDisney!

You have stumbled upon one of my absolute favorite topics, Private VIP Tours at Walt Disney World!

When my family first visited, we had a "problem-free philosophy!" We didn't know how to get started, but knew we wanted to experience as much as we could in a short period of time. Let me tell you- the experience was more magical than we ever could have imagined! We have now booked Private VIP Tours for years and it feels like our favorite Tour Guide has seen our family grow and change before his eyes.

Disney's Private VIP Tours are completely customized to your family's needs and desires. You tell your tour guide what is on your "to-do list," and they'll use all their pixie dust to make your dreams come true (within reason, of course)! Have a kid that can't wait to take off on Peter Pan's Flight? Your Tour Guide can help with that! Does your family want to work together to complete a secret mission on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run? They can help with that too! These tours do require a minimum of seven hours for a group of up to ten Guests. You are able to visit multiple parks in one day with convenient access to many must-do attractions and seamless transportation from one park to another. A Private VIP Tour means no worries for the rest of your day (or at least the seven hour minimum)!

Lisa, in my experience, I prefer booking the tour on the first day of our trip. Usually, my family is so excited to arrive at the Most Magical Place on Earth that we're ready to get the party started right away! When we do the tour early in our vacation, we get to check most of our highest-priority attractions off our list early, so we don't have to stress about getting on these rides later in the trip. We also learn so much from our VIP Tour Guide that it helps us plan out the rest of our days more efficiently. These Guides know the ins and outs of Walt Disney World better than anyone! They can share some fun facts at each park, point out hidden Mickeys, help you plan your itinerary and even give you some tips and tricks for remainder of your stay.

I will admit that you do get a bit spoiled during a Private VIP Tour, so be sure to remember what a magical experience that was as you navigate the parks the rest of your time in Walt Disney World. If quick access to rides is your favorite tour benefit, check out Disney Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lanes to continue to cut down wait times on other days.

Lisa, I am beyond excited for your family to share this unforgettable experience on your first visit to Walt Disney World! I'm here and happy to help with any additional questions!
