we are interested in traveling from magic kingdom to one of the WDW hotels on the monorail to impose a rest period on our 4 year old. Which hotels serve lunch and which do you recommend?

Hi, Donna!    I think a mid-afternoon break at one of the resorts on the monorail is a great idea.    While all the resorts have nice lobby areas and serve lunch, my family's favorite is the Grand Floridian.   The huge lobby is gorgeous and the sofas and chairs are super comfortable.    My kids love the "kid size" sofas near the grand staircase.  There is even a TV playing cartoons for the kids to watch!  This lobby is very inviting a perfect place for a rest.

Make sure to look up!   The ceiling in the lobby is beautiful.   Also, look around for the amazing flower arrangements.    There are some nice shops, and for lunch you can head to Gasparilla Grill if you want counter service or the Grand Floridian Cafe if you prefer a sit-down meal.   After having lunch and taking a break in the air conditioned lobby, walk around the property.   Check out the pools, marina, Wedding Chapel and beach.

Have a great time in WDW!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
