I am interested in taking my daughter and family on a Disney cruise, likely out of Florida somewhere, heading for the caribbean or thereabouts. We are ONLY interested in the biggest suites you have, for at least 6 people. Need ships and suite names. thx

Ahoy! Welcome to planDisney, where we aim to answer all of your questions about planning the perfect vacation aboard Disney Cruise Line. It sounds like you are in the early stages of planning and need some help identifying the right stateroom options for your sailing party, so let me point you in the right direction.

Disney Cruise Line offers four different main stateroom types: Inside, Oceanview, Verandah, and Concierge. However, if you will be sailing as a larger group and need a stateroom that will accommodate at least six people, then you would be limited to the options found within the Concierge category. Every member of the Disney fleet offers Concierge staterooms and suites, but the number of suites is extremely limited and does vary by ship.

If you are looking to set sail from Florida next year, then you would have the option of sailing aboard the Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, or Disney Destiny. Which ship you ultimately choose would depend on whether you prefer to depart from Port Canaveral near Orlando or Port Everglades near Fort Lauderdale, how long of a cruise you want to take, and the particular itinerary you select.

The Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy are sister ships with the same deck plans and suite offerings. Both ships offer Concierge Verandah Staterooms, Concierge 1-Bedroom Suites with Verandah, and Concierge Royal Suites with Verandah, but they only accommodate up to 5 guests. These two ships only have one suite each that can accommodate up to 8 guests, which are the Concierge Dream Tower Suite and Concierge Fantasy Tower Suite. These two-story suites use a private elevator to gain entry to their location in each ship’s forward funnel and are both inspired by the film Fantasia.

The Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny are the same class of ship and all feature the same deck plans and suite offerings as well. These three ships have Concierge Oceanview and Verandah Staterooms, plus Concierge 1-Bedroom Suites with Verandah, but those can also only accommodate up to 5 guests. However, there are Concierge 1-and 2-Story Royal Suites with Verandah aboard these three ships that feature split-level layouts that can accommodate up to 6 guests. These three ships also have two-story suites in one of their funnels that can accommodate up to 8 guests called the Concierge Wish Tower Suite, Concierge Treasure Tower Suite, and Concierge Destiny Tower Suite respectively. Each ship’s Tower Suite is inspired by a different theme with the Wish featuring the film Moana, the Treasure pulling from EPCOT at Walt Disney World Resort, and the Destiny using Tony Stark’s style for a Marvel-inspired penthouse at sea.

Due to the extremely limited number of suites able to accommodate a sailing party of your size, I recommend calling Disney Cruise Line directly at (800) 951-3532 to narrow down which sailings have actual availability. Booking agents are available to speak with you Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM EST, and Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM EST.

If you have any other questions as you continue planning your cruise, we are always here to help at planDisney. Happy sailing!
