We are interested in staying at the Wilderness lodge. However, there are no standard rooms available, which is what we can afford. If someone cancels their reservations there, will they open the room up for booking, or should we give up?

Holly - I say don't give up!  It has been my experience in the past that rooms will become available if someone cancels.  Also, it's possible that not all rooms have been released for booking.  You may also want to check sites such as Orbitz, Travelocity, etc. to see if they might have the rooms available for your dates.  Good luck!  Diane  :)
