Hi Aimee! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks for bringing us this great question! You'll LOVE staying at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. In my opinion it is an absolute gem in the Disney Moderate Resort category. Most of the rooms at this fabulously themed resort are within easy walking distance of the resort's main facility. However, buildings 3 & 4 are closest to the building housing the Front Desk, and the Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory; whereas buildings 2 & 5 are in closer proximity to the resort's main pool, Doubloon Lagoon. The best views are of the pristine river bank opposite the Sassagoula River, so consider upgrading to a River View Room. I can assure you there are connecting rooms at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. Be sure to specify that you wish to have connecting rooms linked by an internal door, rather than just adjacent rooms which are next to one another, but lacking that internal door in between. To make your request, please contact Disney directly by calling (407) W-DISNEY, or (407) 934-7639. The Cast Members will note your reservation with a request, but please keep in mind that these are not guaranteed. I hope this information was helpful to you, Aimee.
