We are interested in signing our daughter up for the Royal gathering, as well as BBB that same day to ensure she’s dolled up when she meets the princesses. The BBB spots available are 6pm and after. How late do the Royal gathering appointments go?

HEAR YE, HEAR YE, the royal court is proud to welcome the arrival of...::checks notes::

    Kasaundra's daughter!

Welcome aboard planDisney, Kassaundra! Oh, the introduction? Standard fare here at planDisney, especially when in the presence of visiting royalty. I'm so excited that you are looking to have your own princess look every bit the part when she meets her fellow princesses!

Alas, I sailed over to check with the royal timekeepers aboard the Disney Dream, and I have some good news and some potentially upsetting news. The good news is, the Royal Gathering time for your cruise has not yet been finalized! The potentially upsetting news is that with the Princesses' busy schedules, there may not be a time when all their availability aligns with the available times for your Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique experience.

But there is still hope! The Royal Gathering is a separately ticketed event but comes with no additional charge. As a result, 30 days before your sailing you will have the opportunity to select from the available times on your cruise through the "Book/Manage Cruise Activities" page of the website or Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. It will be listed under "Onboard Fun" and will be released just after the stroke of midnight - or more accurately, 29 days, 23 hours, and 59 minutes - before your sail date, just like your Onboard Check-In!

What is it with princesses and midnight...?

If once you see the schedule there is not a time that aligns well with the available Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique times, I have heard that there are some princesses who have had success with a "Sleeping Beauty" approach: which is to say, take the latest boutique time available, head straight to bed on the fold-down berth in the room (drifting off to magical sleep,) and awake refreshed and ready for a quick touch-up of hair and makeup before joining the Royal Gathering.

Remember, times are always subject to change, but this may be one way to create the magic you're searching for if the stars do not align!

Oh, and one final tip: the Kings and Queens of the house may enjoy ordering room service breakfast for everyone to ensure time and energy are reserved for assisting said princess to look her best, ha!

While I wish I could wave my magic wand and ensure the perfect princess schedule, I hope this last bit of pixie dust can help pave the way for an experience of a lifetime. Thank you for your question, Kasaundra, and if any others announce themselves before your cruise, please do send your herald to us at planDisney.

In service to Her Royal Highnesses,

    Andrew
