Hi Cynthia!
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am so excited to hear you will be enjoying two
park tours during your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. It is the perfect way to add a little bit of extra magic to your trip and it will allow you to get a peek behind the scenes at the theme parks.
Complimentary resort transportation generally begins one hour prior to park opening. I recommend allowing 60 minutes for bus transportation from any Walt Disney World Resort hotel to the theme parks, which means you would need to catch a bus at 6:30 a.m. While there are exceptions to the bus operating hours to accommodate Extra Magic Hours and early dining reservations, your required departure time will be too early to use the complimentary resort transportation buses. So I recommend taking a taxi cab to get to the theme parks for your tours.
Bell Services at
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside will be able to get a cab for you. When traveling to Disney's Animal Kingdom, the cab will be able to take you directly to the theme park entrance. For Magic Kingdom, the taxi cab drop off location is at the Transportation and Ticket Center, which still requires additional travel to get to the Magic Kingdom entrance. So I recommend having the cab drop you off at Disney's Contemporary Resort and you will be able to walk to the Magic Kingdom entrance for your tour. I still recommend allowing 45 minutes for your transportation so you can be sure to arrive in plenty of time!
Please let us know if you have any other questions. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
