    We are interested in scheduling a dinner at the California Grill (in the Contemporary) on August 24, 2008, so that we can view the fireworks from the restaurant. What time should we book the reservation for (Magic Kingdom has extra hours that day)?

    Hi Penny. It sure is nice making plans for Walt Disney World when it’s so cold here in PA.

    On the evening of your dinner at the California Grill, the Magic Kingdom park is closing at 10:00 p.m. The Wishes fireworks display are also scheduled for 10:00 p.m. that night. Extra Magic Hours will be from park closing until 1:00 a.m.

    I would schedule your Advance Dining Reservation (ADR) for 8:30 p.m. Often it takes time to be seated even with an ADR. If you schedule for much later than that, you might have to wait for people who do not want to give up their tables as the fireworks time approaches.

    I hope you enjoy a wonderful dinner atop the Contemporary Resort hotel.
