Jambo, Sara! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad that you've stopped by with such a great vacation planning question. I just love chatting Disney with my pals, pal!
Well, it sounds as if your vacation planning to
The Most Magical Place on Earth is already off to the most magical start! When you are traveling with a large party, staying in a
Disney Vacation Club Villa is definitely the way to go. With multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, a full kitchen, dining area, living room, and a washer and dryer right in your room, you will have all the comforts of home with all the amenities of the
Disney Vacation Club Resorts. It really is the perfect, pixie-dusted home away from home right in the middle of the magic, and nothing beats excitedly having coffee and breakfast in the kitchen before a fun day in the theme parks and then sipping wine while playing board games and laughing together at the end of the night.
That really is the magic of staying in a DVC Villa, and I'm so excited for you and your travel party to experience that magic next year.
Unfortunately, at the DVC Resorts, there are no Two-Bedroom Villas that are adjoining. But Hakuna Matata! It means "no worries!" Let's chat about a couple of options for you. Although you are correct that with a party of 11 and four separate households, at least one Guest or couple will not have a bedroom and will be sleeping on the Queen-size sleeper sofa (which is actually quite comfortable), in my opinion, that is well worth it to stay in one of the fabulous Three-Bedroom Grand Villas. They are absolutely incredible and the perfect way for everyone to enjoy their magical vacation together while still having more than enough space to spread out for some quiet time and much-needed rest. My family always ends up with friends or family sleeping on the sofa sleeper in our Villa, and no one has ever complained or had anything less than a fantastic time. The Three-Bedroom Grand Villas at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village actually have
four full bathrooms, so, in your case, each household would still have the luxury of a private bathroom. Plus, the Grand Villas have unbeatable Savanna Views for an unforgettable experience!
If you would prefer for every individual family to have its own bedroom in your Villa, you could book two separate Two-Bedroom Villas and request Villas that are near each other. If you book your stay using DVC Vacation Points, just have the DVC Member place the request on your reservation by
calling DVC Member Services. If you are not staying on DVC Points, you can place this request by calling Disney Resort Hotel Reservations at (407) 939-1936. Just keep in mind that requests cannot be guaranteed, so, it's possible that your travel party would end up more separated than you would prefer.
Sara, no matter which Villa you choose, you are sure to have the
wildest time, full of magical memories! I hope this was helpful, and I hope you stop by any time with any vacation planning or DVC questions you may have along the way. You've got a friend in me!
I hope to see ya real soon,
Mandy
