My family is visiting in December and we have a cabana reserved at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa! This will be our first time doing a
cabana rental and we are beyond excited. Currently, the
booking window opens 60 days in advance. When I called, I was told that we could only book for a full day. I also had to pay in full when making the reservation.
When you call, be sure to verify the length of time that is available to book.
Since I was also originally planning for a half day, we had to make some modifications to our plans to make sure we would use the cabana for most of that time. Looking at the time of year you are traveling, I imagine that you might be a little concerned about the weather as am I. Pay close attention to the cancelation policy when you book.
Be sure to also make some food plans. Although the snacks sound lovely, we did make a few advanced dining reservations for the day. Our rental time is from 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. So, we have an early morning breakfast reservation and a dinner reservation. Keep in mind that rental times are subject to change, so be sure to verify your times when you speak with a Cast Member.
Amy, make a calendar note of your booking window so that you remember to call on that day to book the cabana. And then, be sure to plan around that day. Consider whether or not you will do advanced dining reservations or use
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering. I am sending a little extra pixie dust hoping you are able to reserve that cabana for the day you prefer!
