We are interested in purchasing a park hopper pass on the day we will be doing animal kingdom. I was told you can still do park hopper even if park is to capacity on site. A. Is this correct? And B. How do we purchase the park hopper ahead of time?

How ya doin' Lindsay and welcome to planDisney!

The Park Hopper Option is always the way for my family when we visit the Walt Disney World Resort. It's the easiest way for us to personalize a Disney day. Usually, that first half of the day is the most planned and the second half is a sort of free for all. The current policy on Park Hopping is that you must check in to the Disney Park that you have made a Theme Park Reservation for using the Disney Park Pass System. Then at 2 p.m., you're free to enter your next park as long as it isn't at capacity. So far, I've been able to move to my second park smoothly since there are usually people hopping out of the park I'm hopping into. Hopefully, you'll be blessed with that same pixie dust during your stay.

Purchasing Tickets with the Park Hopper Option is as smooth and easy as a ride on Dumbo The Flying Elephant. You can actually get it done right on your My Disney Experience app. Just open the app, tap the icon at the bottom right of the screen, tap Tickets and Passes, and then Select Tickets. You should choose the Theme Park Tickets and then the Ticket with Park Hopper Option. Follow all the rest of the instructions until you've made that purchase!

Lindsay, I hope you have a most magical visit. I hope your Park Hopping works out splendidly!

    Happy planning!
