Hello; I am interested in Oogie Boogie Bash 2020 event. I read somewhere that if you are a Disney Visa Card holder you will get to buy tickets before the non-card holders or general public is this true for this year?

Boo! Happy haunting, Cheryl, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I also enjoy celebrating Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort, so I’d love to help you with your question.

From the frightfully delicious treats, to the daunting décor, there’s so much to enjoy during a Halloween Time visit to the theme parks. But perhaps my favorite part of Halloween Time is Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party! I had the chance to visit this spook-tacular event twice last year, and I had a blast! The Immersive Treat Trails, Villains Grove, and “Mickey’s Trick & Treat” were all on my highlight reel.

You’re correct that last year, Oogie Boogie Bash tickets were made available to Disney Visa card holders one week ahead of going on sale to the general public. Unfortunately, we haven’t heard any updated information about this year’s Oogie Boogie Bash event or ticket sales just yet. I recommend keeping your eyes on the Disney Parks Blog and the Special Events page of Currently, the Special Events page says that tickets will be available closer to the event dates, and to check back for more information. I pulled up some information from last year, and discovered that the Disney Parks Blog announced Oogie Boogie Bash on April 17, 2019. Tickets went on sale to Disneyland Resort Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club members, and Disney Visa card holders on April 23. Then, tickets went on sale to the general public on April 30. Oogie Boogie Bash took place at Disney California Adventure Park on select nights from September 6 through October 31, 2019. With the current status of the Disneyland Resort, this timeline obviously isn’t being followed as closely, but it doesn’t hurt to follow along to find out. Your best bet is to keep your eyes on the Disney Parks Blog, which is the first spot for all breaking Disney Parks news!

In the meantime, while we wait for the latest Halloween Time news, I recommend checking out the #Halfway2Halloween takeover from the Disney Parks Blog #DisneyMagicMoments. Listen to The Dapper Dans harmonize to the iconic “Grim Grinning Ghosts,” or treat your family to a Pumpkin Crème Brulee recipe. Talk about wickedly-delicious fun!

Please stop by with any additional questions, Cheryl! As Little Leota would say, “Hurry back!”
