We are interested in Mickey's Backyard BBQ but aren't sure if it is geared only towards little kids. Our boys are 10 & 13 and we saw the Hoop De Doo already which they loved. Will the tween set feel out of place or is it fun for everyone?

    Hi Monica!

Great question!  Thank you for bringing it to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I think the answer to your question will depend mostly on your boys' personalities.  I have 14 and 11 year-old boys.  When they were younger, they loved both the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue and Mickey's Backyard BBQ.  However, my 14 year-old now thinks they are both lame.  My 11 year-old still has a great time, but he has a very different personality.

If your boys enjoy dancing, singing, etc., then I think they would love the BBQ.  It's actually on my list of things to do with my 11 year-old when we take a trip with just the two of us next year.  But, I know that my 14 year-old would be rolling his eyes the whole time.

I will say that you will see more younger kids than tweens and teens there, but that shouldn't stop you if you want to go!

If I were you, I would "Google" Mickey's Backyard BBQ and let your boys read and watch some reviews.  They would probably be able to tell you if it's something they would enjoy!

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
