I am interested to know more about magic bands. Each of my children have 100 dollars spending money for Disney. We were going to put that on disney gift cards. How can I load that value to their magic bands?

    Hello Jenifer,

Thank you for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I think it's a great ideal to allow your children the freedom to use their own money in the parks. I bet they will think long and hard about which souvenirs they want to bring home!

You have a couple of options when it comes to how you want your kids to handle their money. You may certainly use Disney Gift Cards but if you want them to use their MagicBands, you'll need to let the Cast Member know when you check-in to your Disney Resort Hotel. Then each child will set a PIN for his or her MagicBand. This will be used each time a purchase is made so it needs to be easy to remember.

If you want to make sure spending is limited to the amount of money they have, I recommend setting a daily spending limit on each of your children's MagicBands. You may stop by the Front Desk to pay the charges at any time during your vacation or allow them to be charged to the credit card you have on file.

It sounds like you are all set for a magical adventure, Jenifer! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
