Jessica from LA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I am interested in joining the Disney Vacation Club for Walt Disney World vacations, but my husband wants to use it to visit other places, too. Are there places outside of Walt Disney World that offer the same magic and convenience that Disney is know for?

Hey there, Jessica! Welcome back to planDisney! I am so thrilled that you stopped by with a question, because chatting with a fellow Louisianian about Disney Vacation Club has just made my whole day!

Like you, Jessica, Walt Disney World Resort is simply my happy place. It is The Most Magical Place on Earth, after all! My family's Disney Vacation Club Membership has made the dream of returning to the magic time and time again a reality. Every trip is unforgettable, and not only do we get to take countless vacations to our favorite place together, but we get to affordably stay in spacious, luxurious home-away-from-home accommodations at any of the Disney Vacation Club Resorts. My family is currently enjoying the phase of life during which the extent of our global travel is exploring Epcot's World Showcase. However, when we are ready, our magical Membership can be used to book accommodations at any of the Disney Resorts and at an endless number of other domestic and international destinations.

Like your husband, I am excited to begin exploring other destinations besides Walt Disney World Resort, and there is no shortage of magical Disney destinations out there! Just steps from Disney California Adventure Park are The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa at Disneyland Resort. However, if you're looking to take a break from the theme parks, there are several more options for you! In just a few months, my family will be visiting Disney's Vero Beach Resort for the first time, and we couldn't be more excited to stay within the Disney magic while lounging on the beach, swimming in the perfectly themed pool and hopefully catching a glimpse of some baby sea turtles! If a slow-paced island with Southern charm is more your speed, be sure to check out everything that the beautiful Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort has to offer. The Disney Vacation Club Resort that is on the top of my must-do list, however, is Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas, Ko Olina, Hawai'i. The location, authentic theming, gorgeous villas of all sizes, dining experiences and world-class Disney customer service make this (and every!) Disney Vacation Club Resort a magical paradise that you just can't miss.

Jessica, I see that you are also an avid cruiser! Did you know that a Disney Vacation Club Membership can also be used to book Disney Cruise Line?! I'm telling you, friend, as a Member, the only regret you will have will be not joining sooner!

Jessica, please feel free to stop by any time with any Disney planning question, and I hope to wish you a "Welcome Home" very soon!

I hope to see ya real soon!
