I was interested in the Hollywood Studios Dine and show plan... (ie Hollywood & Vine dinner + seating for the Fantasmic show).. how does this work if we eat dinner early and show starts at 8:30? Will we have to wait in line with everyone else ?

The Fantasmic! Dinner Package includes dinner at one of three participating restaurants (Hollywood & Vine, Mama Melrose, or the Hollywood Brown Derby), and reserved seating for the show.  In my experience the available dining times for the package tend to be rather early.  I think that our reservation at Mama Melrose when we did the package last September was around 4:30 in the afternoon.  After our meal, the server gave us tickets for the reserved seating section in the Fantasmic! ampitheater and told us to arrive at the designated location no later than thirty minutes before showtime.  After dinner we toured the park a bit more before making our way to the reserved seating section.  Once there, we simply showed the Cast Member our "tickets" and were granted access to the reserved seats.  We did not have to wait in a general admittance line.  It was a very convenient process that I'd highly recommend.  Oh, and our meal at Mama Melrose was outstanding too!
