    Hi! I am interested in getting an annual pass but had a question before I buy. I know the pass countdown does not start until you enter a park but can it be used for discounts say for example going to Disney springs before you enter a park?

    Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for asking a question about a Disney Annual Pass. I recently purchased an Annual Pass and used it to save on food and merchandise on my trip to Walt Disney World Resort. 

    Passholders can access discounts not only on dining and shopping but can also enjoy savings on Events & Entertainment such as the Wild Africa Trek at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park or Behind the Seeds (a backstage walking tour of The Land Pavilion) at EPCOT. Passholders can start saving once the Annual Pass has been activated. 

    Disney Annual Passes can be activated at Guest Relations at any of the theme parks but Guests can also activate an Annual Pass at the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs. If you're headed here for meal or shopping, it might be right on the way for you! The Ticket Center is located in Town Center (near my favorite burger place at Walt Disney World Resort - D-Luxe Burger) and is open during the following times:

    • Sunday to Thursday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM
    • Friday and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 11:30 PM

    I opted to add on the Annual Passholder Disney PhotoPass Downloads (the current price is $99 plus tax and is subject to change). I love being able to download all eligible Disney PhotoPass photos and videos (including photos snapped on Attractions), it's a great way to capture magical memories! 

    Tip: always ask PhotoPass photographers if they can do any Magic Shots, you might spot a Disney Character in your final photo!
