Just interested in some general information for planning a Disney trip for possibly next summer. Interested in resorts/hotels very close to the parks, tickets, preety much the whole deal. Haven’t been in a very long time thank you in advance for your help!

From one Alabamian to another, how are you enjoying our infamous blue skies today, Christopher? As I write this, I’m looking out at just such a sky!

I’m super happy to hear that you’re planning a return visit to Walt Disney World after a long absence. I bet a lot has changed. You’re in for a pleasant surprise.

To get you started, I’m going to direct you to the Tickets & Visit Guide. This handy digital tool will give you a thorough overview of the theme parks, attractions and seasonal events. You can even learn more about determining a length of stay.

From there, head over to this map of the Walt Disney World parks and resort hotels. Find the theme park you’d like to be close to and then click on the little blue location icons to learn more about nearby resorts.

I’d also encourage you to visit our extensive video library right here on planDisney and read some of favorite tips that we’ve collaborated on. Of course, the Disney Parks Blog is another great resource for learning about the latest and greatest things happening at Walt Disney World.

As you progress in your planning, Christopher, do stop back by if we can be of assistance. We’re happy to offer personalized advice on just about any aspect of your vacation!
