Hello, Diana,
Thank you for sending your question to planDisney.
Fishing at Walt Disney World is a wonderful way to see a side of Walt Disney World that is so peaceful and beautiful as the fishing spots are at some of the loveliest locations on property. Guests have two options to go fishing: 1) Dockside fishing at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside or 2) Guided bass fishing excursions at Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon, Village Lake, or Crescent Lake and World Showcase Lagoon.
Dockside catch-and-release fishing at
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside offers guests a chance to visit the pages of a Mark Twain novel by fishing with old-fashioned cane poles. Of course, casting-rod gear is also available if you'd rather not fish like Huckleberry Finn! The fishing gear is available to rent from the Fishin' Hole at Ol' man Island.
Guided fishing excursions are also available with different choices from 2 hour trips to 4 hour trips. You will also be able to select a Sun Tracker pontoon boat to fish with up to 5 guests or a tournament-style NITRO® bass fishing boat for 1 or 2 people. Your fishing supplies and gear are included. Don't worry if you are a novice or an experienced angler; the guide is there to help all guests with varying experiences. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling (407) 939-BASS or (407) 939-2277.
Wishing you a magical trip! Please let us know if you have any further questions. -Kara
PS - If you do a quick internet search for
NBA Bubble Fishing, there are some fun and often hilarious videos of NBA players who have been fishing at Walt Disney World while they are there for the 2020 season. My family has really been enjoying them! You may also enjoy reading a
