Hi, I am very interested in the fireworks dessert party (seats and sweets). i was wondering how long the party runs for and if you can still enjoy the party after the fireworks show is over? Or do you have to leave immediately following the fireworks show

Hi there, Renee, and welcome to planDisney!

From atop Disney’s Contemporary Resort at California Grill to riding on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, I’ve seen the Magic Kingdom Park nighttime spectaculars from many locations throughout the years. One of my favorite spots to view the fireworks is at Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant for the Seats & Sweets Fireworks Dessert Party, which you will love, too!

On a rainy night this past spring, my friends and I arrived at Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant 60 minutes before the Happily Ever After fireworks display began. We were treated to all-you-care-to-enjoy yummy desserts, drinks (beer and wine included), and cheeses. It was a fantastic way to unwind before the show and to reflect on a fun-filled day at the theme park.

The dessert party lasted for an hour plus the length of the fireworks show. Afterward, we had enough time to say goodbye to friends, but we didn’t feel like we were rushed out. If you would like more time to hang out and eat after the show, there is also the offering of the Post-Party. For that option, arrive 60 minutes before show time; however, you will stand in the nearby Plaza Garden during the spectacular and then indulge in the dessert party treats once the fireworks show is over.

Renee, I hope that you have the most magical visit next year! If you need any suggestions or have any other questions about your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, give us a holler here at planDisney. I’m all ears!

    Magic always,
