Hi Kristie!
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for sending this fantastic
Fantasmic! question to us hEAR!
I absolutely love Fantasmic! Actually, I love the Disneyland Resort version more than the one shown at Walt Disney World Resort. (The two are maybe 75% the same, but there's just something about watching the show's ending where the characters make their grand entrance on the
Mark Twain River Boat vs. the prop Steamboat Willy boat built specifically for this show.) At this time we don't have a date of if or when dessert parties and dinner packages will return to accompany any of the beloved
Nighttime Spectaculars, all of which are making their returns starting in late April. Your best option will be to keep up with the Disney Parks Blog as they are the best source of the newest news straight from Mickey himself. You can even
follow them across all of your social media feeds so you're sure to never miss an update!
I do want to clarify though that before the historic closure, Fantasmic! at Disneyland Resort only offered access to reserved seating sections through
dinner packages, including a
to-go option at a quick-service dining location. The same show at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, however, offered a dessert-only party option. I booked the Fantasmic! dessert party at World once and while it was very nice, the presentation was a to-go box of assorted appetizers (cheese, crackers, nuts) and desserts (a two-bite pie, a baby cupcake, tiny brownie) along with one alcoholic beverage and a bottle of water. Other dessert parties are set up
buffet style, which is great for those on the pickier side
or who found a favorite item or two and would like seconds.
World of Color at Disney California Adventure Park also used to offer a dessert party that we haven't hEARd any news about, but its inclusions were a plate of cheese and desserts for each person, a breadbasket for your party to share, two alcoholic beverages per adult over 21 and unlimited soda, bottled water, and hot chocolate for everyone.
I hope that this helped to clEAR things up a bit, Kristie. I'm so sorry that I don't have a definitive answer. But feel free to check back with us as your vacation gets closer! Be sure to follow the
