Welcome to planDisney, Robin!
Let me be the first to say "Congratulations" to the golden anniversary couple, and here's to MINNIE more! What a festive sailing it will be with a large group of family onboard. I can’t imagine a better place to have a family reunion and a 50th wedding anniversary celebration than on a Disney cruise with Captain Mickey.
First things first, you will need to
contact Disney Cruise Line or a Travel Agent to make reservations for multiple staterooms for your party of 15. While there isn’t a separate contact for group bookings, a Disney Cruise Line Vacation Planning Specialist can reserve all the staterooms for your party and then
link the reservations together.
Another key component to your family reunion at sea is dining together! Arrangements can be made for all of you to be seated together or in close proximity in the
rotational dining rooms. Then you have the magic in your hands with the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to coordinate all your onboard activities and
Port Adventures together.
Since you will be celebrating both a family reunion and a golden anniversary, I highly recommend that you get matching shirts made. Nothing shows enthusiasm for being on a cruise together quite like coordinated attire! The crew will definitely take notice and send well wishes, and it also makes for fabulous family photos.
To commemorate this special occasion, consider booking a complimentary private photo session with
Shutters Portrait Studio. I like to have this done on the more formal nights of the cruise since we are typically all dressed up. A group your size should also consider booking 2 consecutive sessions to allow enough time to include everyone. Just one of the ways you can preserve memories of this once-in-a-lifetime cruise!
We can reunite again here at planDisney if you have more cruise planning questions. Wishing you and your family the most magical experience at sea together!
