Hi Danielle! First, let me say that runDisney races are perfect for your first race. (Actually, for every race, but there are tons of first timers at each event, so you will be in good company!) Second, I have run two runDisney races by myself and can honestly say that I had a great time! I went at my own pace and really enjoyed all of the entertainment and magic that make runDisney races special. So, even if you end up coming to the race by yourself, you will still have a blast! Next. let me recommend that you check out Jeff Galloway's training website, www.jeffgalloway.com. He is the official trainer for runDisney and his website is FULL of tips for training methods, no matter what distance you want to go, or what level runner you are. Finally, what you need to do: when you decide upon a race, you will register for it by finding the information on the
runDisney website. You will then receive (through email) all the information you will need for your race day. It will give you details about picking up your race packet, transportation times, hotel choices, theme park options, etc. I highly recommend staying at a Disney host resort as they will be the only ones providing bus transportation to race events and you do not want to fight traffic on the morning of your run! Please feel free to contact me again with any other questions you have about planning for your race. You are going to love running at Disney!
