interested in a DisneyCruise in 2027 for my extended family & how much it would cost. I'm trying to understand options & best value for costs. Option 1: I have party of 8 adults & 4 grandsons (ages 6-11), Option 2: 2 adults/4 kids

    Ahoy, Scott!

Thank you for sailing over to planDisney for help with your future cruise plans. I like that you are thinking ahead about your options for 2027. First of all, there is great value in cruising with so much included in the price, your food, entertainment, activities, splashtacular fun, and youth programming for your grandsons, just to name a few. And you'll go home with memories that you'll always treasure, Scott. Multiple factors can impact the cost of your Disney Cruise Line vacation, including the length of the cruise, the type of stateroom you desire, the time of year, the departure port and itinerary, the ship you select, and, of course, how many cruisers are in your traveling party. Special Offers are typically available throughout the year on the Disney Cruise Line website, but it may not be the right time, departure port, or have the availability you're looking for. In my experience, the earlier you book your cruise, the more you save. I've been known to reserve many of my sailings on the day bookings open to take advantage of that pricing.

Both options you've shared will require multiple staterooms, as most sleep between three and five Guests. There are a few concierge-level staterooms that sleep more, but it is usually less expensive to go with non-concierge staterooms. With option one, you could split it a few different ways, depending on whether the adults in your party are comfortable sleeping on a single convertible sofa bed, a single pull-down bed, or the upper berth bunk bed that would be available in the staterooms that sleep five, along with the queen-size bed. In staterooms that sleep four, you'll have everything I mentioned above except for the pull-down bed. Staterooms that only sleep three do not have the upper berth bunk bed. The other factor to consider in your stateroom selection is which category works best among the four options: Inside, Oceanview, Verandah, or Concierge. These will vary in price among the four, and you'll also see varying prices within the same category. These variations usually depend on stateroom location and size. When you are browsing the Disney Cruise Line website, you may also notice "Guaranteed" options that are offered at a lower price. These come with restrictions due to the lower price, and Disney Cruise Line will choose your stateroom location for you. A couple of other things to consider are that you can book connecting staterooms when traveling with a group, or try to save a little by booking some inside staterooms across the hall from verandahs and/or oceanview staterooms.

Scott, my best advice is to spend some time selecting the best time frame, departure port, and ship for your family, and see what availability looks like for those in 2027 on the Disney Cruise Line website. You can review stateroom pricing for the four categories, keeping both your options in mind. Once you've narrowed it down, give Disney Cruise Line a call at 1(800) 951-3532 to speak with an agent. They will be happy to answer any questions and help you with pricing. They are available Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm. And if we can assist you with more planning questions, please cruise back over to planDisney. We'd love to hear from you again.
