Very interested in checking out the horses/barn (not the pony rides) when we go to Hoop Dee Doo at FW. My DD loves horses and would love to see them. Is the barn close and what is the experience like? How much time should we allow before the HDD show?

Hello Lynn!  The Tri-Circle-D Ranch is very close to where you'll be enjoying the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue.  In fact, many guests will wonder over to that area after they check in while they are waiting to be seated.  I would plan on arriving 45-60 minutes early for your dinner show.  You are welcome to visit and if you'd like, you can make a reservation for a carriage ride during your vacation.  The Disney Parks Blog had a write up about the Tri-Circle-D Ranch a couple years ago that you may want to read.  There are pictures included within which will give you a nice visual of what to expect.  It sounds like you will have a wonderful night planned at Fort Wilderness!  Have a fabulous time!
