Bright Suns, Marie!
Welcome to planDisney! I’m so thrilled that I have the galactic pleasure of helping you think through the logistics for your upcoming Walt Disney World visit. Yours is a great question, and a wise one! After all, even the most elegant weapon deserves a safe journey across the galaxy. Let’s talk about how you’ll get those prized lightsabers home.
Inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios, guests can build their very own custom lightsabers at
Savi’s Workshop. This is a very popular experience that is part of
Disney’s Enchanting Extras Collection; advance reservations are highly recommended at 60 days prior to your arrival date.
There’s great news to share: no matter whether you choose the light or dark side of the Force, you’ll be able to ship your custom-built lightsabers to your home planet. While you’re hanging out in
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, simply head over to
Droid Depot or
Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities and ask a friendly cast member to help you with shipping your lightsaber. You can do this later after you’ve had some time to utilize them in galactic combat, so long as you return to Galaxy’s Edge before either location closes. While there are no shipping prices currently available online, I chatted with a cast member who mentioned that shipping fees vary and it depends on the value of the merchandise.
I also want to be sure to mention that you can also bring your lightsaber home on the plane. You will be able to clear it through TSA and you can safely store it in most overhead bins. You have options!
While you’re in Galaxy’s Edge, stop by
Ronto Roasters for a smuggler-worthy snack. Personally, I love the Ronto Wrap, and I hear that the new Keshian Spiced Chips are very tasty. If you’re looking for a more substantial meal to fuel your next hyperspace jump,
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo is a great pit-stop.
I hope this information is helpful, Marie. May your journey be filled with wonder, adventure, and smooth travels across the galaxy. Stop by planDisney again with your planning questions real soon. May the Force be with you always.
