I am interested in bringing my son for his 5th birthday (2022). Some of the questions I have are are there any perks for coming during his birthday month (Nov) or does he have to come on his actual birthday (nov 29)?

Hi there Asfah, and welcome to planDisney!

I can't think of a better place to celebrate than the Most Magical Place on Earth! A Walt Disney World vacation is a great way to make some special memories with your son. My little guy's birthday falls a couple of weeks before our spring break trip next year, and we plan to party alongside Mickey Mouse and friends in honor of his big day.

At this time, Walt Disney World isn't offering any specials for visiting on your birthday, so you should feel free to visit whenever the time is right for you to celebrate. We won't be in Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park on my son's actual birthday, but since we're gifting him the water park ticket for the occasion, we plan to celebrate on the day we hit the slopes. We'll pick up complimentary celebration pins at the front desk of our hotel so Cast Members can wish him well; we'll let him pick which slides to experience first, and we might even order a cake to enjoy in our room. At the end of our celebration, we'll head to the gift shop at our resort hotel and allow him to choose an inexpensive souvenEAR to round out the day.

I hope this is helpful and gives you some ideas for how to celebrate your son's milestone no matter when you travel. If you need any more suggestions for dining or other special experiences that your son might enjoy, don't hesitate to reach out again. We're all ears! Thanks for stopping by planDisney, and we'll see ya real soon.

Greetings! I'm Betsy, a middle school teacher, wife, and mom of two. My family and I love to travel the world, but our best memories are those made when we're visiting Walt Disney World or Disneyland Resort. No matter how many times we visit, there is always something new to see, ride, or eat at the Disney Parks. Learn More About Betsy
