Hi Jennifer,
Never is the Magic Kingdom more magical than during
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party! The snow on Main Street and the Christmas cookies (plus the special parade and fireworks) are a true holiday treat.
The party is quite popular and does tend to sell out in advance, especially on Friday nights and during the couple of weeks leading up to Christmas. You should be okay to wait until closer to November to purchase your tickets, but if you want a Friday night, I wouldn't wait later than early September, just to be sure it doesn't sell out.
If you want to have dinner in Magic Kingdom before all the festivities begin, I suggest making an
advanced dining reservation for about 5 p.m. at one of the restaurants. The new
Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen is already a favorite of mine. Or if you don't want a sit-down meal, I don't think there's much better than a chili cheese hot dog from
Casey's Corner. Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Please let us know if we can help in any other way as your vacation nears. Enjoy!
