I am interested in attending the Illuminations Sparkling Dessert Party, do you have to pay for this event and/or for the desserts? Can you use you meal plan? How does this work?

    Hi Jacqueline,

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

IllumiNations Sparkling Dessert Party lets you enjoy some delicious sweets and spirits from around the globe, and then enjoy Epcot’s magical nighttime spectacular IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth, from a VIP section giving you a clear view of World Showcase Lagoon. Deserts and beverages, including sparkling wines, are included with the event paid admission.

The event does require a reservation to be made, and these can be done up to 180 days in advance. You may do so at the Walt Disney World restaurants and reservations page, or by calling (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463. At this time, admission to the event is $49 for adults and $29 for children ages 3 to 9. Note that you must be 21 years of age to consume alcoholic beverages. Epcot park admission is also required and not included in the cost of this event.

My favorites desserts are the cannoli from Italy and the chocolate ganache tarts from France. Which will be your favorites? I'm sure it will be more than one. Come back and let us know next time you have a question!
