How much interaction is there between Minnie and other characters at Minnie's Seasonal Dining at Hollywood and Vine? Are personal battery operated mister fans allowed at Disney World? Thank you

Hi Denise, and welcome to planDisney! I’m so glad you stopped by to see us with your question. Let’s put on our Minnie ears and get you ready for your close-up with the fabulous Miss Mouse!

The timing of your question is practically perfect, Denise, because my family got to enjoy lunch at Hollywood & Vine on our last visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios just a few weeks ago. If you’ve been here before, you’ll definitely notice some changes as Disney works to ensure the safety of Guests and Cast Members. Now, instead of hitting the buffet once you’re seated as in the past, your server will take your order and bring it out to you. Then, while you’re noshing on your delicious meal, Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, and Pluto will come around to each table to say hello. The characters will interact with you from a safe distance, but you do still get some personal attention. We waved and laughed and shared a few moments, and my son was grinning EAR-to-EAR when he got to snap a photo with his Number 1 favorite, Donald Duck.

And when you leave Hollywood & Vine all full and happy and venture back out into the Florida sunshine, a mister fan will feel oh, so nice. You can absolutely bring one into the Theme Park with you (in fact, Disney sells them!), so pack that fan and keep your cool!

Speaking of packing, Denise, be sure to check out planDisney’s Panel Extras page for packing tips and lots more! And of course, if you have any more questions, please come back and see us again. We’re always here to help!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
