Welcome to planDisney. Oh boy, I’m super excited to hear that you and your son will soon be visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth. Our feathery friend Donald might seem like he’s got a little bit of a hot head, but I think it’s because he still thinks he’s #1. Let’s see what we can do to help your son meet his #1 favorite character during your visit.
A character dining experience is a great way for your son to meet Donald and his friends. Lets review where you can usually find him. My family and I absolutely love
Topolino’s Terrace at Disney’s Riviera Resort. Here you can find Donald, Mickey, Minnie, and Daisy in their French-inspired outfits during the character breakfast. You can also find him during breakfast at
Cape May Cafe and Disney’s Beach Club Resort. You can never go wrong with breakfast or dinner at
Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, you will find Donald dressed in his safari gear at
Tusker House Restaurant. I don’t remember seeing Donald at the Garden Grill the last time I was there, and it doesn’t look like he’s currently listed as a character visiting that location.
While we’re at it, let’s talk about some of the other ways that you can find Donald and his friends during your visit. While you are visiting, you can open the My Disney Experience app to see which characters are currently available and where they are. Tap the location button that looks like an upside-down teardrop, then scroll to the Characters button at the top. You can now tap on any of the Mickey icons to see the characters.
