Can I use an instant film camera at the parks?

Hey there, Allison. Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

Aren't the instant film cameras so much fun? My daughter has one and absolutely loves it, she takes some really great pictures with it. I think you'll be happy to know that you can absolutely use it while visiting Walt Disney World. Just keep in mind that during some shows flash photography is not allowed so you wouldn't be able to use it in those circumstances because the flash is usually automatic. Also, when meeting characters or something like it where the line moves rather swiftly, try to have your camera ready to go. My daughter's sometimes takes a few minutes for it to decide which setting it should be used on so try to keep that in mind when using it. Other than those few reminders, feel free to click away. Also, if you bring a marker, the characters can sign your picture after you've taken it which makes for a really fun souvenir. If you are wanting everyone in the picture, all of the Disney PhotoPass Photographers scattered throughout the Walt Disney World Theme Parks will be more than happy to take one for you. I think most of them have used these style cameras before, but it doesn't hurt to give them a quick run down before your picture. I think you'll be so happy how your pictures turn out, it's really a fun camera.

I hope this helps, Allison. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and ask.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
