Hi Margaret!
Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney. As a family of six, we typically stay in a
Deluxe Villa when we visit Walt Disney World Resort –– not only does it offer us
tons of living space, but the 1-Bedroom Villas and larger feature fully-equipped kitchens that really make them feel like a home-away-from-home. But since a kitchen isn't much use without food, we love the convenience of using a grocery delivery service to stock our fridge during our visit. Whether you're just looking for a few quick breakfast items, or planning to cook meals during your stay for a large group, grocery delivery is a great way to get everything you need.
During your stay, you can choose to use any available grocery delivery service (Amazon and Instacart are my personal favorites) and have it delivered directly to the main entrance of your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel. I like to place my order a day or two before my arrival and schedule delivery for the morning or early afternoon of check-in, that way the groceries have usually arrived by the time our room is ready. When placing your order, I recommend addressing your delivery to "Guest (name on the reservation)" and double-checking that you're using the Resort's main entrance address to avoid any confusion.
While you're welcome to meet the delivery driver yourself, Bell Services at your Resort will also be happy to accept and store your delivery for you, including any refrigerated items. Once you're ready to collect your order, you can stop by the Bell Services desk to pick it up or have it delivered to your room for a small fee. Just note that Bell Services can't accept age-restricted items, like alcohol –– if these are included in your order, you'll need to be present during delivery to show your photo ID.
I'm so glad you found your way to planDisney, Margaret. If you think of more questions as you plan your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort visit, I hope you'll stop by again –– we're always here to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Amy
