Hi there, Mark! Welcome to planDisney. I'm so glad you brought your question to us!
I'm always happy to hear from a fellow
Disneyland Magic Key pass holder, and I love that you want to get in some extra magic whenever possible! However, visiting
The Happiest Place on Earth still requires a theme park reservation even if you visit later in the day. The current policy states that "each Guest is required to have a
theme park reservation in addition to a valid ticket for the same park on the same date." You will still need to grab a park reservation for a half-day visit. I know this might not be what you hoped to hear, Mark. I'm so sorry!
If you're coming for a multi-day trip that exceeds the number of reservations your Magic Key can hold at once or you have an afternoon free to indulge your Disney side, it is sometimes possible to snag a last-minute reservation. There have even been times when the force was strong and I nabbed a same-day reservation (though this is usually only possible during weekdays). Mark, the theme park reservation calendar is always changing and updating, so the availability calendar is regularly updated. Also, you will need to pay attention to your
Inspire Keys blockout days, as your key is not good for park admission on those days.
As a Magic Key holder, be sure to check the Magic Key Portal in the
Disneyland Mobile App and follow the
Disneyland Magic Key Instagram, as they regularly post about fun Magic Key offerings throughout the year. I also love checking the Disney Parks Blog for the seasonal and event
foodie guides because there is no better snack than a Disney snack!
Mark, thanks again for stopping by. Wishing you magic for this year and beyond!
