Hi Ann!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I loved seeing this question because it brought back lots of memories of our first Disney Cruise Line vacation with our then seven-month old! We too, found ourselves in our stateroom more than we are now, but it definitely is a comfortable place to be!
Each
stateroom onboard the Disney Dream has a television with On Demand programming as well as a variety of other channels to watch. They do not have the same movies in the stateroom that are being shown in the Buena Vista Theatre, but you will find a variety of entertainment options, including movies, television shows, news, sports (when satellite allows for it) and more! There are even channels dedicated to learning more about Disney Cruise Line’s Port Adventures and other onboard amenities. Staterooms have a dividing curtain which partitions the room into two areas which is so so so great when traveling with little ones. They can nap or sleep on one side and parents can still move about the stateroom without constant fear of waking a sleeping baby…because we all know that is a big no-no! Although, I will say, when my boys were itty bitty, we actually looked forward to going to bed earlier than we ever would at home because we finally got that chance to catch up on some much-needed sleep!
Another great thing to keep in mind for your stateroom is the 24-hour
Room Service! We would – and still do – order in some dessert or food for our stateroom while our littles were snoozing! Room Service is included with your reservation (exceptions include prepackaged snacks, drinks).
Wishing you the most memorable – and restful – adventure at sea!
Stephanie
