Has in-room dining/room service returned to the Polynesian? We’re staying in the island tower but getting in fairly late on our check in day and room service would come in handy. Thanks

    Hi Timothy,

Welcome to planDisney, Timothy! Your upcoming stay at the new Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows sounds amazing - you must be getting so excited! Arrival day logistics can sometimes feel a bit hectic, so let’s take a look at what dining options are available upon arrival.

I wish I had better news - room service hasn't yet returned to the Polynesian. Right now, the only Disney Resort offering in-room dining is the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. That said, depending on what time you arrive, you still have a few late-night dining options at the Polynesian that might work perfectly to kick off your stay.

I recommend heading directly to Capt. Cook's (located in the Great Ceremonial House just steps from the resort's Front Desk). I checked the times for your arrival date, and the calendar is showing that the Quick Service dining location is open until midnight. It's the perfect place to go when you're craving late-night flatbread. You can view the Late Night Dining Menu here

If nothing jumps out at you, you could also check out Gasparilla Island Grill over at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa - it’s just a short walk from the Island Tower. Another option is Moana Mercantile (open until 11 p.m.), where you’ll find a selection of grab-and-go snacks and drinks to tide you over until morning.

Some Guests also like to place a grocery order in advance so their snacks and essentials are ready and waiting when they arrive. Several third-party grocery delivery services are another option, making it a convenient choice, especially for longer stays or picky eaters!

I hope this information is helpful, Timothy. I hope you have a wonderful stay at Walt Disney World! Be sure to check out the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival, there is so much to enjoy. If you have any other questions, please visit us again at planDisney - we'd love to help!

    See ya real soon,
