My in-laws have volunteered to watch our 3 kids so we can take a special 40th birthday trip for me to Disneyland. Can you recommend a few of your top restaurants for a romantic meal for two in DL or DCA? We will be staying at the Grand Californian.

    Hi there Sheri,

Disneyland Dining... You are speaking my language!  Nothing beats a romantic dinner amidst the magical splendor of the Disneyland Resort and four unique restaurants top my "romantic rendezvous" list... two are in the parks and two are in the hotels:

    1) Napa Rose:  This Signature Dining establishment is located within your resort, Grand Californian.  With a gorgeous, elegant setting and a wine list and culinary menu to rival some of the top restaurants in the country, this is my go-to spot for an adults only dinner at Disneyland!

    2) Carthay Circle Restaurant and Lounge:  Paying homage to the early days when Walt Disney premiered Snow White, this elegantly casual and BRAND new dining location in California Adventure is sure to impress!  The menu features an eclectic mix of modern favorites with an old-school twist!  For an extra special view, request patio seating and watch the Red Car Trolley travel up and down Buena Vista Street!

    3) Blue Bayou:  This place screams "romance" and the setting is AMAZING!  Imagine sitting riverside in the Bayou...lightening bugs, crickets, and glowing paper lanterns... the ambience is unmatched and the food is yummy too!  You will enjoy watching the boats pass by on the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction!

    4) Steakhouse 55:  This place reminds me of an urban prime steakhouse and my mouth waters just thinking about it!  If you love beef, THIS is the place to go!  The atmosphere is very vintage Disney, the service is great, and the 24 layer chocolate cake is reason enough to go!

Please write back if I can provide any further information!  Sounds like you've planned an amazing birthday trip!  Enjoy!
