My in-laws are purchasing the tickets for themselves as well as my husband, myself, and our two children. How do I get those tickets linked to my magic band?

Hey Howdy Hey Kendra and welcome to planDisney!

It is so exciting to hear that you will be in the Most Magical Place on Earth really soon! Nothing beats a family trip to the Walt Disney World Resort, and having the ability to share the Magic of this experience. Thank you for stopping by with your question on linking your theme park tickets appropriately. Let's go over how to do this and get you back to the excitement of planning your next trip.

Considering your in-laws will be purchasing the tickets, they will be responsible for assigning them as well. As long as you all are linked through your My Disney Experience accounts, assigning tickets should be easy. Just in case you are not currently sharing plans, let's review that step quickly.

Log onto your My Disney Experience account and go to the "My Family & Friends" section. Make sure you see your in-laws name and icon linked to your account. As long as they are, the next step should be super easy. If you are not connected, there is a button on the top right "Add a Guest" which you will click and search as prompted to be connected. Once connected, on to the next step.

If your in-laws are purchasing the tickets, they will have them in their My Disney Experience account first. After they log into their account, they would go to the "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets" section and click on the heading, "Tickets, Passes & Memory Maker". In this section, they should be able to see all the tickets that have been purchased. On the right of the screen, next to each ticket, they should also see a drop-down menu to assign the tickets. Once they click on the drop-down menu, they should see each of your profiles and link appropriately. If they are unable to select your two children, they can always try and link their tickets to your account and you can go through the steps to reassign their tickets to them.

I hope this process works out easily for you but if you run into issues you are unable to navigate, feel free to call Disney. A Cast Member will be happy to help you through this process and get your tickets linked appropriately. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out and let us know, we are always happy to help!

    Have a Magical day,

    Nick
