Hiya Kathleen,
Welcome to planDisney! Oh, I love
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall! Not only is the food really tasty, but the character dining aspect with the princesses is one of my favorite ones. I love how you never really know who will be greeting you during your visit, so it is such a fun little surprise.
What an excellent question, Kathleen. As you know, as a resort Guest, you can make dining reservations once your 60-day
advanced dining reservation window opens for the entire length of your stay (so the entire 8 days)! The great news is that you do not need to wait until your in-laws' reservation opens up to make a reservation that includes them. Once your window opens up, you can make a reservation for all 6 of you!
I hope this was helpful, Kathleen. Do you mind if I share a quick tip for dining reservations? If your plans are flexible, try to reserve your most popular dining locations later in your stay. I mentioned that, as a resort Guest, you can make reservations for the entire length of your stay (up to 10 days) once your window opens. Since Guests without a resort reservation cannot do that, you have the best chance of getting the most popular, high-demand reservations if you wait until the latter days of your trip. Just make sure to link your resort reservation to your
My Disney Experience account before your window opens up. If you need anything else, please come back and see us.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
