My in-laws are exclusive Spanish speakers and i would like to bring them with me, but is there staff that are fluent Spanish speakers? And how many are there throughout Walt Disney world?

Hola, Angela! Welcome to planDisney, and thank you so much for stopping by with your excellent question!

As a former Walt Disney World Resort Cast Member from Mexico, I am happy to tell you that there are many fluent Spanish-speaking Cast Members throughout the Resort. In fact, there are numerous Cast Members who are fluent in many other languages, too! Although I'm not entirely sure how many there are, I can tell you how to spot them.

First and foremost, you need to know that all Cast Members wear the iconic, oval-shaped, and very shimmery Walt Disney World Resort EARidescent name tag on their costumes. Once you've spotted the emblematic accessory, you'll want to keep an eye out for a golden rectangle right below the name tag. These attachments house the language tags that let you know whether a Cast Member is able to help you out in any languages other than English.

In my personal experience, I've found that the most common language tag is definitely Spanish, so you shouldn't run into any trouble in this department. That being said, I do have a super helpful tip that will make your vacation with your in-laws run even more smoothly. At the main entrance of each Theme Park, you should see a stand where you'll be able to grab as many paper Spanish guidemaps as you'd like. You will also be able to find them at all Guest Relations locations and select shops throughout the Resort. These maps are perfectly translated and they make for great complimentary souvenirs! In fact, my grandparents have a framed Magic Kingdom Park map from the 1970s, and it's one of their most prized possessions to this day.

Angela, I hope that my answer has helped clear things out for you. If you need any further assistance, please don't hesitate to come back here! We're always happy to help.

    Ta-ta for now,
