Hello there, Shannon!
It is wonderful to hear from you about your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I hope you are having a wonderful time planning your trip. It sounds like you are making practically perfect plans!
It's lovely that
Disney Vacation Club Members can buy tickets for Guests in their party when attending certain special events. Although it's not a huge discount, it's enough to get a special treat or two at the party and that's definitely worth it! When purchasing
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party tickets, you are prompted to choose which Guest each ticket should be assigned to before you complete the purchase. Therefore, they'll need to be connected in
My Disney Experience through the
My Family & Friends list, so that they are able to select your My Disney Experience account profiles to link the tickets to. I am not quite sure how they purchased them for you without doing this prior, but unfortunately, screenshots will not grant you entrance into
Magic Kingdom Park for the party. You'll need to make sure that the tickets are linked to your My Disney Experience accounts to use
MagicMobile, or your
MagicBand, or to request hard tickets once you arrive. Please be aware that your in-laws may be required to show a Disney Vacation Club Membership ID at the park entrance to pick up the tickets when you all get there.
Although My Disney Experience can become a bit overwhelming if you're linked to several Guests in your My Family & Friends list, it does give the option to only allow the other Guests to view the plans you share in order to limit some of the confusion. After the Guest is added in your list, click on "settings" next to their name and unselect "Allow Guest to view all of your plans."
Have a very merry vacation, Shannon! If you have any other Walt Disney World Resort planning questions, please feel free to stop by again and send them our way. We are here to help!
Magical Wishes,
Lauren
