Joseph from PA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I initially had plans to visit the parks in a certain order, but have changed my plans, but I can't change the park on each day in the "my plans" section of the app. How do I do that?

    Hiya, Joseph! Welcome to planDisney!

Your visit to Walt Disney World Resort is imminent if you’re not already on property, so let’s get right into it!

Depending on the type of ticket you purchased, you may have made Theme Park Reservations. Certain ticket types that are not date-based, such as Annual Passes, still require Theme Park Reservations as of this writing. If that’s the case, you can modify your Theme Park Reservations on the Walt Disney World website. If you have date-based tickets, you won’t have to worry about reservations at all.

If you purchased Lightning Lane Passes for your visit, note that you can modify your selected park and/or date in advance, subject to availability, up until the moment you redeem your first Lightning Lane selection on the day of your visit. It’s important to note that as of this writing, if Lightning Lane Passes are more expensive than your initial purchase at the original park you were visiting, you will be required to pay the difference in price. Note that if you have made any other plans such as dining reservations, you’ll want to ensure you are modifying these plans as well.

As you start to make plans in another park, your “My Plans” section of the My Disney Experience app will populate the plans you’ve made in that park. Another thing to note is that under the “My Visit” heading of the My Disney Experience app, if you tap the “Wait Times & Showtimes” box, you’ll have the option to tap “Change Park” at the very top of the screen. This is helpful to make sure you’re seeing the details for the park you’re in, and it’s also helpful to look at what’s going on in the other parks if you have any intention on park hopping.

I hope this answers your question, Joseph! If you’re not already at Walt Disney World Resort, you’ll be there very soon! If you are staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, a Cast Member will be happy to help you if you have any questions about your tickets, Lightning Lane Passes, and reservations of any kind. You can also pull up the “Chat With Us” feature on the My Disney Experience app, Cast Members are always ready to help there as well.

You’re also visiting during the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, Joseph. I highly recommend heading to EPCOT to take advantage of all of the festival offerings, especially the tasty eats and sips at the Outdoor Kitchens!

    See you real soon!
