    I would like more information about the Wild Africa Trek Tour. Have any of you experience this tour? What is the price and is there an age limit?

    Hi Christine! Yes, I have taken this wonderful tour (actually on the first day it was offered) and loved it!  You will trek with no more then 11 other guests and two guides at all times with other guides and cast members meeting you along the way.  Depending on the time of your trek you will stop at a private area in the middle of the savannah to watch the animals up close and dine on gourmet breakfast or lunch fare. Be sure and take the time to head to the bathroom as this is truly one of the most beautiful ones I have ever seen!  Only a woman would probably appreciate that fact!



    You can reserve this trek by calling 407-939-8687 and you must have a credit card to put down on it. There is a 48 hour cancellation time if needed.  Park admission is not included and the age limit is 8 years, and must be at least 48" tall and weigh at least 45#. This is due to some of the more strenuous crossings of rope bridges and the harnesses you will be hooked up to to see the hippos etc. You are asked to wear closed toed shoes and skirts and dresses are not encouraged.  At the end of your trek you will be presented with a PhotoPass CD with all the pictures plus some expert animal shots so you don't need to even take your camera. Everything has to be attached to your body and there will be lockers at the beginning for you to use to store anything you can't take with you.



    Prices vary according to seasons so get the latest for the time you are thinking about by calling the above number. They can start at $189 a person but will go up during busy times. This summer they have started offering a $50 rebate for those willing to trek during mid day of the summer. That is a great savings for families but remember the Florida heat!  Hope you are able to take part in this great Disney tour!
