Silver Anniversary at Sea so there are even more magical surprises in store for you onboard! Thank you for bringing your important question about dining as a vegan onboard, I’m happy to help you understand what’s available and how to best communicate your needs.
If you haven’t already, please be sure to
note this special dietary need on your reservation. You may do this by
calling Disney Cruise Line or by indicating it under
Special Requests > Dietary Requests on your reservation on the website or the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. This will ensure that your dining team knows of your need in advance and that the necessary items are in inventory for you and other like-minded Guests onboard.
I am always astounded by the level of personalized service that we receive with Disney Cruise Line, and you will especially experience this as a pampered vegan during your sailing! In addition to noting this on your reservation, please discuss your needs and favorite items with your dining team the first night you meet them in the main dining room. Since your
servers move with you each evening, they will quickly become familiar with your preferences and proactively bring you something delicious. You will see vegetarian and plant-based items on the menus but there will likely not be a full vegan section itemized so by engaging with your dining team they can tailor your dishes accordingly. You can have oil and vinegar or vegan butter with your bread service, and vegetables can be cooked in oil. The chefs can bring you extraordinary dishes like pastas, salads, tofu, and even desserts artfully prepared just for you.
For quick service locations, you should ask at each dining station what’s possible. At Cabanas, a leader will give you a tour of the buffet and then prepare additional entrees including the famous Mickey-shaped waffles, avocado toast, fruits or egg-free omelets. On the pool deck they offer Udi’s gluten free and vegan thin crusts for a customized pizza, as well as Impossible burgers, plant-based chili dogs, and vegan sausages upon request. The world-famous DOLE Whip® pineapple soft serve is also vegan (available for an additional fee). Dairy-free milk options are plentiful for your specialty espresso beverages at Cove Café.
If you are able, please be sure to make a reservation for one (or both) of the
adults-exclusive dining experiences. Both Remy and Palo are exquisite, and the chefs will go above and beyond to ensure you have a magical meal and feel incredibly pampered in this heightened dining experience.
