Hey there, hi there, ho there, Elexia, and welcome to planDisney. The beginning of December is one of the best times of year to visit Walt Disney World Resort. The kids are still in school and college, it is after the Thanksgiving break and before the Christmas break, and all the Disney Resorts Collection Hotels are decorated for the season.
Disney's complimentary FastPass Service was discontinued during the COVID-19 pandemic and was replaced by the optional
Disney Genie+ Service. With the paid Disney Genie+ Service (not
Disney Genie Service which is complimentary) you are able to reserve times for select attractions and enter through the Lightning Lane entrances (old FastPass entrances) through the
My Disney Experience app. With careful planning, you should be able to enjoy many attractions during the day. Disney Genie+ Service may be purchased each day of your visit and may vary in price depending on the crowd levels. These
Disney Genie Service videos are really helpful.
In addition to Disney Genie+ Service, you may also purchase
Individual Lightning Lane entry a la carte for certain attractions. These are not the same attractions accessible with the Disney Genie+ Service.
planDisney Pro Tip: You will arrive two days after
Luminous: The Symphony of Us begins at EPCOT. I recommend getting your viewing spot along the World Showcase at either the Germany or Italy Pavilion about 45 minutes before it begins.
Elexia, I hope this information helps you understand more about the new FastPass system called Disney Genie+ Service. Please feel free to
write me back directly with any follow-up questions.
Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
