where would I get information on the hotels DCL partners with when arriving day ahead of cruise departure and ground transportation to and from Orlando airport to port canavaral . Celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary with family of 13(7 adults, 6 kids)

Hi again, Martha! An early congratulations on your 50th wedding anniversary! What a wonderful milestone to celebrate at sea with your family! Disney Cruise Line partners with resorts in each of its home ports so that guests can have a convenient place to stay the night before or after their cruise. My family and I do this each time we sail, no matter which home port we're sailing from. Letting Disney do the driving makes our vacation so stress-free!

In Orlando, all of the Walt Disney World Resorts partner with Disney Cruise Line. Staying at a Walt Disney World Resort is great because all resort guests get free transportation from the Orlando International Airport to their resort on the Magical Express. You'll also want to pre-book Disney Cruise Line's ground transfers from the resort to the port ($35 per person each way). You'll receive a note or call in your resort room the night before letting you know the exact time your motorcoach will be by to get you in the morning (usually between 11 and 1:30, but exact time will be verified the night prior. They'll pick up your luggage from your resort room around 8:00 a.m. to send ahead to the ship. We keep day bags with us to enjoy a relaxed breakfast and more exploring at the resort before we head off to the port.

Another option is to stay at the Hyatt Regency inside the Orlando Airport. They partner with Disney, so you simply fly in, check into the hotel, and the next morning, your bags will be picked up from there to be sent ahead to the ship. Then, make your way back downstairs to the airport motorcoach area where you'll board the Disney Cruise Line bus to Port Canaveral if you've pre-booked these transfers.

The agents at Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532 can make ground transfer and resort reservations for you! Have a wonderful trip!
