Hello, Elizabeth. Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. I see the countdown is on to your next Walt Disney World vacation. October is such a fun month to visit, you are going to have a great time.
My daughter used to love experiencing all of the fun and pixie dust the
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique had to offer when she was younger. No trip was complete until she was all dolled up like her favorite Disney princess. The experience and the pictures are so worth it. Everyone, including Dad, always had a great time. Right now, there has not been a date announced for the reopening of the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. When that does come, and hopefully soon, you'll be able to find all of the information on the
Disney Parks Blog. Since your vacation is still several months away, I'd still hold onto hope that it may return for your trip.
If no announcement is made, maybe you can create some magic in your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel room instead. Several Disney stores carry princess dresses, especially as you are nearing Halloween, or you can order an affordable one online. You should be able to find all of the princess accessories too like a cute hair clip, coordinating nail polish and a little lip gloss to bring with you on your trip. Swing by
Basin at Disney Springs and let your little one pick out a fun bath product like a shower scent or lotion and then stop by
Goofy's Candy Company and grab a sweet treat for the occasion. On the day your daughter wants to dress up, set up shop right in your hotel room. Play a fun Disney playlist and create an experience just for her while she gets ready for the day. Start the morning off with her fun bath product and munching on the sweet treats you picked up. Give her the royal treatment of outfit, hair and nails before you head off to enjoy the day. It could be a really fun memory the two of you can treasure for years to come.
While princesses are not necessarily doing any meet and greets at this time, you can still snap a picture of them during one of the many princess cavalcades, which are like mini parades, that happen throughout the Walt Disney World Theme Parks. I've seen princess cavalcades at both
Magic Kingdom Park and
Epcot throughout the day. I can't think of a cuter picture than your princess all done up waving to some of her favorites.
I know that a do-it-yourself makeover isn't exactly like the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique but we've all had to be resourceful during this unprecedented time and I actually think it sounds like a wonderful memory for you to share. But again, keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog and your fingers crossed about a reopening of the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique before your trip.
If you have any other questions before you go,
I'm here to help! Have a great time.
