We would like information on extended stay reservations at Fort Wilderness, how long can these reservations be made for and what are the guidelines around them?

    Hiya, Dan!

Welcome to planDisney, friend. I am so very glad that you stopped by with your planning question. The Campsites and Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort provide a relaxing and scenic woodland retreat, perfect for taking a break during your theme park adventures. And this incredible property has an abundance of recreational opportunities, making it a great choice for an extended stay. When you're not walking down Main Street U.S.A., you can enjoy horseback riding, kayaking, fishing, swimming, and oh so much more! I often encourage Guests to spend a day or two outside of the theme parks to enjoy all that their Walt Disney World Resort has to offer, and it sounds like you're going to have plenty of time to experience all the little things that make this resort amazing.

Dan, you can book a stay at any Walt Disney World Resort Collection hotel for up to 30 days. You can make these reservations online through the Walt Disney World website in just a few easy steps. Accommodations can also be reserved by speaking with a friendly Cast Member with Disney Resort Hotel Reservations by phone. Time spent in The Most Magical Place on Earth for longer than 30 days would require you to make a separate second (or even third, if you're in for the long haul) reservation. The guidelines for Walt Disney World Resort vacation packages are the same for a quick trip or a full 30-day adventure. The full details are available online, including the current cancellation policies. If you are looking to secure a cabin or campsite that is a room-only reservation (hotel accommodations without tickets or Magical Extras), the cancellation policy is the primary difference in guidelines. These reservations can be canceled up to 5 days prior to your arrival without penalty, and the full balance is due at check-in.

If you plan on spending time in the theme parks during your travels, be sure to make your Park Pass reservations once you purchase your vacation package or tickets. All four theme parks require a reservation in addition to a valid theme park ticket. You can check the availability of your favorite park before you purchase tickets through the online calendar. This is a great way to make sure your favorite spot still has openings before completing a ticket purchase.

I hope that your upcoming adventure is memorable and magical!
    We'll see ya real soon!
